Fire Hall
Sunday 19th Oct 2008. 12:00 Doors Open 12:15 Drum Out! To awake the fest and welcome the energies!!! All join in the front foyer as the drums start to pound. Stir the energies as we process around the festival and finally into the great hall. There, we will all call our Goddesses and Gods to bless the daylong festivities. 12:45 Wolf’s Head and Vixen Morris Wolf’s Head Morris was formed in 1995 and first danced out in 1996 as a men only side. Later that year the Women’s side, Vixen was formed. Both Men and Women’s sides dance Border Style Morris but there are differences in each side’s approaches to the creation and performance of the dances. 1:00 2:00 3:00 Wolfs Head and Vixen Morris The Wolf’s Head kit consists of black boots, black trousers, black full tattered coats, black faces and black top hats. The kit for the Vixen consists of black boots, black stockings and vast quantities of black lace and velvet etc. There are two reasons for this – WE like black and WE like black Nothing sinister, although it can appear that way.3:30 Suzanna Giera our spectacular oriental dancer ones more graces our festival. Night of the Ancestors
Samhain the time when we remember our ancestors, both of The Craft and those unjustly accused of Witchcraft. Follow the beautiful banner made by Thorskkega Thorn, into the night with Lantern Lit Parade in there honour. Please bring a battery lantern if you have one but Glow sticks will be provided.
Newcomers are especially welcome, nothing will be asked of you, participate only as deeply as you choose. 8:00 Close.
