I am sorry to report that on the 24th March Steve was gathered into the arms of The Morrigan and left his family and friends.

Many of you will know Steve, who has helped out at the festivals for many years.
He smiled through many illnesses in his all too short life but always was the first to laugh and play the fool. Play the fool, but was never one in reality. A member of the Coven of The Raven and The Rose and father of three beautiful children. He died in the arms of his sister Lita with his family around him. Unfortunately I never made it across London in time to be there. Finally I made it to the bedside. We held hands and I said a few word around Steve, when Rose's phone rang and Bob Marley's words rang out clear "Lets all get together and feel all right". Just a perfect thought from a thoughtful friend.
In Loving Memory Of Steve Smythe
Great Morrigan and Lord Hesphestios, It is now the time for your Child Steve to leave this World, as we all must do one day. Take him to be with you for all time. Wrap him in your love and protection. For as long as he has been a member of your Coven, The Raven and the Rose, he has lived to serve you in all he has undertaken. We his friends and family will miss him. We will miss the fun and laughter he has always shared with us and we will always remember his love of life as only he could love life. We will always remember you Steve as a Pagan Brother and very good friend. You have now gone to be with your Goddess and God but you will never be forgotten. May the Peace and Love of the Goddess be with you now and for all time. Goodbye Steve from all your family and friends. You will always be in our memories.
